The spreadsheet that runs your business is load-bearing, and only one person fully understands it. That is the reason to move and the reason moving is frightening. We migrate to Airtable as a designed structure rather than a straight import, run both in parallel until the new one is trusted, and do it for a fixed price against a fixed date.
A spreadsheet migration is a redesign, not an import. The sheet's rows become linked tables, its formulas become rollups or automations, and its tabs become views. Importing a spreadsheet as-is produces an Airtable base with a spreadsheet's problems, so the structure is decided first and the data moved second.
Tabs become linked tables, lookup formulas become real relationships, and the fragile parts become fields the software maintains.
Several sheets that reference each other by copy-paste merged into one base where the relationship is enforced rather than remembered.
CSV exports from a system you are leaving, cleaned, de-duplicated, and modelled properly rather than dumped into a table.
Several bases that should have been one, merged without losing history or breaking the automations already running on them.
A single spreadsheet moved into a designed base usually fits Migration Starter at $2,500 over 10 days. Multi-sheet consolidations, data cleaning, and a parallel-run period land in Migration Pro at $5,500 over 3 weeks. Migrations off a legacy system, or spanning many sources, move up to Custom Build.

We go through what the sheet actually does, including the parts that only work because someone knows not to touch them, and quote a fixed price.
We design the base structure and agree it with you before any data moves, because an import into the wrong shape has to be done twice.
Both systems run side by side until the numbers reconcile and your team trusts the base. Then the spreadsheet goes read-only.
No. We reconcile the migrated data against the original before anything is switched over, and the spreadsheet stays available read-only afterwards rather than being deleted. If the numbers do not match, we do not switch.
A single spreadsheet is usually 10 days; a multi-sheet consolidation with cleaning and a parallel run is around 3 weeks. You get the date in writing before we start.
Yes, and you should. That is what the parallel-run period is for. We reconcile any changes made during the move before the switch, so work does not have to stop while the migration happens.
You can, and for a simple flat list you should. The reason to pay for it is that a direct import reproduces the spreadsheet's structure, which is the thing that was causing the problems. The value is in the redesign, not the file transfer.

AirtableThe usual Airtable pitch, better collaboration, misses why Sheets teams actually switch. Sheets shares perfectly well. What it cannot do is structure: linked records, views per role, forms, and automations. Here is the honest line between the two, and the cases where Sheets is genuinely enough.
AirtableExcel is not the wrong tool; it is the wrong tool for the job it slowly got assigned. Here are the four signals your spreadsheet has become a database in denial, the jobs Excel should keep forever, and what actually changes the week you move the tracking out.
